Reporting is a standard feature of all APPs, and each of them is similar. When designing the reporting function, not only the user experience, but also the verification cost and timeliness after reporting must be considered.
After carefully experiencing the reporting functions of WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Kuaishou, and Station B, I compared them from the four links of entry, page, reason, and feedback.
1. Reporting entrance
All scenarios with user-defined content and transactions interacting with other users have a reporting portal. The reporting portal does not need to be displayed directly. Users need to operate the exposure portal to avoid invalid reporting by mistake.
For content scenarios, custom content can be divided into: pictures, texts, voices, videos, and live broadcasts. The location and triggering method of the reporting entrance are also basically formed; as a reminder, automatically generated content can be considered for reporting. For example, if you publish a video automatically generated dynamic, the officially released content does not need to be reported, and will not be processed anyway.
For pages that aggregate a variety of content, use the upper right corner to trigger reports. For example, on a typical profile page, if separate reporting portals are set up for nicknames, avatars, and signatures, it will take up too much space; during the experience, it is found that Kuaishou There are 2 reporting portals in the upper right corner of the user homepage of .
When a single content aggregation appears, long-pressing or clicking the pop-up report can not only lower the reporting threshold but also affect the user's browsing of other content, such as plain text comments.
There are some exceptions to WeChat, which may be due to privacy and harmonious atmosphere considerations. Users in group chats can country email list only be blocked and cannot be reported, and comments on Moments cannot be reported individually.
For the transaction scenario, each order has a report or feedback portal, and the interaction of each app is quite different, which is not discussed in this article.
The report page
In the arrangement of the reasons for reporting, some are single-row, and some are multi-row in the form of 3*3 or 3*4. Single row can better meet the length of reason copy and the flexibility of adding reasons, and the table format can save space and be beautiful.
Most of them use the form of jumping to the full-screen H5 to enter the report page, but in the live broadcast scene, Douyin Kuaishou has adopted a half-screen reason page, which can be changed while watching the live broadcast while reporting.
